Wed, Jan 25: Huatulco, Mexico

Coast near Huatulco:

In the bay, picking up the pilot:

Watching the birds feeding on the fish at the surface:

And views from the ship as it comes into the bay:

We docked, and disembarcked for our tour.  The captain was on the dock, as well as dancers greeting the ship:

We took a bus ride along the coast to look at the beaches and deluxe hotels - a really nice place to go if you just want to lie on the beach at a fancy resort.

We then went to La Crucesita, a quaint new town, and browsed around the square:

We did not try the offered chocolate grasshoppers.

The last stop was at La Entrega Viewpoint to take photos of the ship:

A man was late due to a traffic accident ahead of him.  The ship waited for about an hour, but then had to leave.  However, he made it to the docks, and a tender was waiting for him.  The tender ferried him to the ship, where he boarded while ship was underway – he had a harness to keep him from falling, and he climbed up a rope ladder.
